One of our favorite aspects of capturing love stories is being able to experience a variety of cultures from around the globe. Raeva and Shervin held a week long celebration in DC with two separate ceremonies (Hindu and Persian), along with a lovely sit-down reception at Union Station for nearly 600 guests. Their stunning event was expertly put together by CG & Co Events and Sarah Khan Event Styling and was previously featured in Washingtonian Weddings.

Their beautiful Hindu celebration took place at Raeva's family home over the course of two days — complete with an incredible mandap by Sarah Khan Styling To honor Shervin's Persian heritage, another ceremony and celebration were held on a boat with sweeping views of Washington DC from the Potomac River.

On a separate evening, invited guests were treated to an elegant black-tie dinner with a surprise Cirque du Soleil style performance by a talented troupe of aerialists. The dinner place settings included hand-painted papier-mâché trinket boxes, which were custom-made in Kashmir (Raeva’s home country). These were such a thoughtful personal touch and a fun pop of color with the decor!
